A wedding day to remember

Adele and Cesare's enchanting Lake Garda wedding at Isola del Garda, Italy, will forever hold a special place in our hearts as Lake Garda wedding photographers. Their story, set against the breathtaking beauty of the island and enchanting Lake Garda, was nothing short of a fairytale romance.

This romantic wedding day commenced on the shores of Portese, where the bride and groom prepared for the day ahead surrounded by family and loved ones. As the bride and her family underwent hair and makeup, the groom enjoyed a leisurely swim in the lake, carefree and grinning from ear to ear.

The Catholic Church ceremony

A traditional Italian church wedding, though technically challenging for us as Lake Garda wedding photographers due to restrictions and tricky lighting, is always incredibly moving. Take a glimpse at the groom's face as he sees his bride for the first time! The entire wedding ceremony was meaningful and emotionally charged. The beautiful church was adorned with huge arrangements of gypsophelia, or "baby's breath", and Adele's dress was a vision of simplicity and elegance.

The bride and groom both looked like they had stepped out of a Jane Austen novel, and when we mentioned this to them, they both burst out laughing... Adele's favourite writer is indeed Jane Austen and that's exactly the look she was dreaming of!

Following the Catholic wedding ceremony, we embarked on a classic Riva boat journey to the island (Isola del Garda, a private island in the middle of Lake Garda, Italy’s largest and most beautiful lake).

A truly romantic wedding day

Having photographed Lake Garda weddings for many years, I felt privileged to immortalize the magic of Adele and Cesare's love against the backdrop of Isola del Garda. Each picture is a fragment of their love story, preserving the enchantment of this day forever. While photographing the bride in the Italian garden of the island, with the magnificent neogothic castle as a backdrop, Cesare proudly mentioned that he would show these romantic wedding photographs to his grandchildren one day.

Adele and Cesare's dream wedding was not merely a celebration of love between two individuals; it was a jubilation of life, love, and the enduring spirit of happiness. Embarking on their journey together on Isola del Garda, enveloped by stunning scenery and the love of their closest friends and family, the wedding party danced into the night. Even Adele's nonagenarian grandparents outdanced everyone until way past midnight, exuding more energy than both of us photographers combined.

As we packed up our cameras, lenses, and lights, looking back at the island during the last boat ride home, I couldn't help but feel grateful for being part of such a magical day. Moments like this reinforce why I chose to live, work, and be a photographer for such romantic Lake Garda weddings — to capture moments of love and happiness destined to be cherished for generations.
